Tsidiso Maphanga

I am a Medical Scientist at the Centre for Healthcare-Associated Infections, Antimicrobial Resistance and Mycoses, National Institute for Communicable Diseases, specialising in Medical Mycology. I completed my MSc in Medical Microbiology from the University of Pretoria. I am currently doing my PhD in development and evaluation of diagnostic methods for identification and characterisation of thermally-dimorphic fungi at the University of the Free State. My main research interests are the development of diagnostic methods and surveillance of infectious diseases.
